Our Content Management System Offers New Podcasting Features

You’ve got it all under control – introducing Spreaker’s new Content Management System!

The Content Management System, or CMS, is a powerful new tool that makes general podcast and content management a cinch, so that you can make quick changes as needed. We’ve taken care of the tech so that podcasters can stick to what they do best: podcasting.

You’ll find it all there – the CMS is a full view of your operation and output at a glance. It’s chockfull of new features that allow you to do loads of things, like customize your embedded player, manage multiple episodes at once, adjust cover image sizes, and much more.

Wait, so what is the Content Management System?

The new CMS is a full control board where you can view the entirety of your account’s content. Think of it as the backstage area for your podcast production, where you can access your podcasts’ settings.

You can look through what you’ve already created, as well as create a new show. From here you can also get quick access to your show’s statistics and RSS feed.

The big picture

Once you’re in your show’s settings, you’ll find a combination of old and new features. Remember that embedded player we mentioned last week? You can do all your customizing right here in the CMS, just click on Embed to start. From here, you’ll find more advanced customization options, like the ability to replace the image displayed, and enable the playlist on or off.

Managing episodes is even easier with multiple file management. Want to quickly fill up your podcast with episodes? Upload a bunch of them at once. Need to get rid of some content in bulk, fast? Select those episodes and then hit delete. You can even move them around to different shows if organizing may have gotten the best of you.

And prolific podcasters can avoid endless scrolling by searching for specific episodes through the search bar.

Going deeper

The devil is in the details, and with the new CMS you can modify all the fine points of your shows and episodes. For example, you can now finally change the dates of your published episodes to match your desired timeline, even if that means backdating them. You can also edit the permalinks of your shows and episodes, and size and crop your images to your liking.

Getting excited? There’s more to come in the upcoming weeks – stay tuned!

Hello, I was very intersted at first by the possibility to make chapters in order to delete some noisy “blank” parts (in my case, beginning and ending of a sound performance) and not having to Download/OpenInAnEditor/Upload for each file, but it seems you forgot that chapters only have a beginning defined, but no ending, so that if I delete the third defined chapter which is the last “blank” part (end), the piece-itself chapter’s ending becomes the end of the file (as if there never had existed a third part), so I can’t suppress the end ! But honestly, you’re so close to allow a direct simple cutting of desired parts that I wouldn’t understand that you wouldn’t simply allow it directly as a new tool, without having to make chapters…
Thanks, good ideas, but to be improved in the future !
