Here it is the difference between two basic concepts of the Spreaker’s platform: the number of listeners and the number of total plays.
When we talk about listeners, we refer the total amount of unique listeners. In other words if you listen to the same show more times, you will be counted just once, so that you can check how many new people listen to your show.
The number of total plays instead, shows the number of listening sessions, so the user is counted each time he listens to the same show.
To sum up:
-Listeners: if the same user listens to the same show twice, he will be counted just once
-Total plays: if the same user listens to the same show twice, he will be counted two times in the total plays.
