How To Keep Your Podcast Topic Sounding Fresh

Exploring the different sides of your topic

How can you make sure that you never podfade or run out of things to talk about on your podcast? Most of the work you put into your podcast revolves around presenting your main topic in an entertaining and informative way – and it’s the core reason why your listeners tune in. It has to be multifaceted and provide numerous fresh angles.

While excellent storytelling skills can make anything sound interesting enough, bringing content that’s of value to your audience is what will keep them coming back. It’s all about drawing from the resources available to you, and finding those unique takes. You can refer to your listeners’ feedback and contributions, scrape show topic ideas from other media sources in your genre, subscribe to newsletters, set up google alerts, and run thorough keyword searches.

Learn about all the different ways you can make the most out of your podcast’s topic in this episode of the Spreaker Live Show.

How Web Technologies Helped Build a Cross-Platform Desktop App

0
Studio-Enviroment

Spreaker’s first incarnation of its recording and streaming tool was the web-based, browser console, and though it is the oldest piece of software in our ecosystem, it still continues to serve many podcasters to this day.

However, since then Spreaker has continued to evolve. In fact, just last year we decided to build Spreaker Studio for Desktop, a downloadable desktop app that brings a whole new look and feel to Spreaker’s podcasting tools.

So why the need for the update? The answer is simple: every piece of software has an expiration date…well, sort of. It doesn’t mean that one day that software will just stop working, but that technology moves so fast that the line between impossible and possible constantly shifts.
One of our missions is to give podcasters tools that are intuitive as well as feature-complete, so that the only thing they’ll ever have to worry about is creating great content. It’s up to us to provide state of art of technology.

How to Start Coding on Android If You’re an iGuy

0
2-1

If you care about users enjoying your service from their mobile devices, then you should ask yourself: is it enough or necessary to make an amazing responsive website to answer their needs? Probably not. So you go ahead and build a great iOS app version of the website. But is that enough?

Well, not exactly, since there are currently more Android than iOS devices out there in the world, so it’s much more sensible to release an Android app even before creating one for iOS. All this summarizes the main reasons why I decided that I needed to learn how to build an Android app. Plus it forced me work from a different perspective, allowing me to grow my knowledge as a developer so much that I decided to apply what I learned back to our iOS development.

And so, the journey begins

Access Your Stats on iOS from the Spreaker Studio App

0
new-1

Yesterday we released a new update for Spreaker Podcast Radio for iOS that caused issues for a few users due to the fact that from now on, stats will only be displayed on Spreaker Studio.

What does this mean?

Actually, nothing has changed apart from the new path you’ll need to take in order to get to your data. You’ll still get complete access to all of your stats, of course, but now you’ll just have to open Spreaker Studio on your iOS device to get to it, instead of Spreaker Podcast Radio.

Why are podcasts the new blogs?

Podcasts-are-the-new-blogs-(1)NO-LOGO

Do you remember how, ten years ago, we were all obsessed with blogs? And how many times you said (or you’ve been told) “you should start writing a blog”? Suddenly, even your grandma had a blog about gardening tips.

Don’t you think it’s the same now, with podcasts? And doesn’t it seems awkwardly amazing to listen to your grandma’s voice talking about how to keep your cyclamen from dying in the winter? It’s amazing!

It is undeniable that podcasts are living their golden age and that the ingredients are basically three: easy-to-use platforms, professionalism, and incisive content creation – the same successful ingredients for putting together a successful blog. So, what’s the difference? And which one is better?
