4 Podcasts for TV Show Addicts

It’s 8 o’clock, morning coffee already drunk, all set to go to work. Whether you’re trying not miss the bus or you’re squeezed in with about 1,000 people inside it, listening to podcasts about the latest tv shows is the new way to spend the most useless time of your day.

There are no statistics on the number of TV-based podcasts, but pop culture figures heavily in the podcast universe.  Like other fan-based platforms, podcasts range from the extremely granular and specific to the broad and thematic. (via mediapost.com)

So here’s a list of some of the funniest, most in-depth, addictive podcasts straight out of the Spreaker Community!

1. TV Hangover

TV critic Vicki Hyman and super fan Erin Medley are what you need when you want to spend an evening at home. Don’t miss never-ending chit chat on the couch, popcorn, and the best TV shows ever.

Favorite episode: the one about the Golden Globes and the best TV shows of 2015.

2. Gilmore Guys

Even eight years after the last episode of Gilmore Girls aired, Lorelai and Rory fans have never stopped watching and re-watching all its episodes, like veteran super-fan Kevin Porter and Stars Hollow newbie Demi Adejuyigbe. They go episode by episode to discuss, debate, and gab about all things related to Gilmore Girls. Even if you’re not a fan or whether you were thinking about re-watching all the episodes, this is the time to do it, with Kevin and Demi’s recaps. You don’t have much time left before the reboot starts.

Favorite episode: the one about the revival!

3. The FiveWhoFans Podcast

For sure Doctor Who is the oldest and longest running TV show ever aired, and it certainly isn’t just for British people or nerds. Even if you don’t know the difference between a Cyberman or a Silurian, there’s a good chance that you’ve unknowingly been exposed to the long-running sci-fi series at some point in your daily life and, at that point, that you’d really like to talk about it with fellow addicts!

Favorite episode: the one about Steven Moffat leaving the show as a showrunner.

4. The NotWatching Podcast

These guys of the Barker PODcast take TV shows extremely seriously, probably even more so than any other TV-focused blog or news outlet. If you love British accents and smart, detailed info on movies and TV shows, The NotWatching Podcast is tailored just for you, without a doubt.

Favorite episode: the one about the latest superheroes and sci-fi movies!

And that’s it! Which one is your favorite? Did we miss something? Just let us know with a comment!
