Whether you’re in flight mode or stuck in the subway, you can always listen to your favorite podcasts, even when you’re offline — introducing downloading on Spreaker Podcast Radio for iOS!
Opt to pick and choose and then manually download episodes you want to listen to later, or set up auto-downloading on your favorited shows so that any new published episodes get downloaded straight to your iPhone. Now all you iOS lovers get to create your own listening experience tailored to your ears, even when you’ve disconnected (Android users, you’re already enjoying the feature).
The low-down on downloading
We’ve given you two options when it comes to downloading, either manually download episodes one by one, or enable autodownloading (but only for your favorited shows). Here’s how to set them up:
Choose to download episodes as you find them manually. As you’re browsing through the app, you can tap on the More icon (the three dots) found at the top of the episode’s artwork. From there, you can tap on Download.
Alternatively, you can tap on the download icon from within the episode player.
You can also enable auto-downloading for a more hands-off approach for your favorited episodes.
From the Favorites screen, tap on the show for which you want to get the episodes downloaded automatically and, under About, enable “Auto-download new episodes”. To set how many episodes per show you’d like to have on your device at any time, visit the Settings screen, where under Downloads you have few options to tweak.
Everything you choose to download can be easily accessed from an auto-generated playlist. You can find Downloads in the Playlist section.
Make sure you get the latest update for Spreaker Podcast Radio for iOS to enjoy a listening experience made just for your ears, and then let us know how much you love it!
