General Listening

3 Green Podcasts for Earth Day

In the 60s Paul McCartney sang “Sit beside a mountain stream / see her waters rise/ Listen to the pretty sound of music as she flies.” Today, we could replace “music” with “podcasts” to give it an updated 2000s feel without taking away from its feeling and message. Listening to podcasts instead of songs can be somewhat soothing, bring you back into the moment, and allow you to better enjoy your surroundings.

So, here are our suggestions for celebrating #EarthDay: not a list of movies to watch or rules to follow, but just some hints on what to listen to while you’re going through the motions of your daily routine, to really celebrate and respect mother nature.

1. The Green Divas Radio Show

The GDGD Radio (Green Divas Global Digital Radio Network) is the first green and healthy living digital radio network, streaming 24/7. It’s definitely a green radio revolution, not to mention how cool their jingle is. Enjoy this episode about water, or tune in to their show Green Thumb in the Garden.

2. Clean Green Talk Show

Leslie Reichert, The Cleaning Coach, is definitely the Martha Stewart of Green Cleaning. Enjoy this show and listen to how, with her sparkling personality, great sense of humor, and contagious passion, she encourages her fans and followers to think differently about cleaning products.

3. Green is Good

Join the green journey of “Green is Good,” hosted by Electronic Recyclers International’s John Shegerian. It’s one of the best American environmental and sustainability radio shows that features business mavericks, entrepreneurial innovators, thought leaders, and nonprofit organizations that are making a difference every day in our world. Listen to how John, each week, discusses eco-friendly initiatives, sustainability practices, environmental issues, recycling, reuse and much more with some of the world’s most influential people!
