With Werk It, a women’s podcast festival, approaching quickly, we’re thrilled to announce our title sponsorship for the event in Los Angeles on October 3-4! As part of our partnership with the event host — WNYC Studios, New York Public Radio’s podcasting entity — we’ll be live streaming some of the sessions from the two day symposium (be on the lookout for more details!).
Now in its second year, PodCon 2 has become an annual date in our diary and we can’t wait for this weekend’s event.
If you’re not already aware of PodCon 2 – get informed! Last year’s event impressed us so much – the quality of panels and speakers got us so excited for the podcasting industry. That’s why we decided to show our support to the event by becoming lead sponsors for this year’s meet, which is expecting over 3,000+ attendees.
The countdown has begun to the beginning of the world’s largest and longest running podcast event – the Podcast Movement is happening in just a few days in Philadelphia! From July 23rd to July 26th, all the best podcasters will gather around the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown to discuss the recent podcasting trends and network with other great podcasters. The latest big news is that Edison Research will unveil a new podcasting research, during a keynote on July 24th.
This February 8th-10th, Orlando, Florida will be taken over by Podfest Multimedia Expo. A conference created for independent podcasters (from beginners to veterans) by podcasters, with the aim of building and developing an international podcast community through networking, events and exchanging of ideas. This year is the event’s fourth year and will see over one thousand content creators flock to find out what’s hot and what’s not in the podcasting world.
During the course of the three days, six key topics, or ‘tracks’, will be the umbrella themes for all panels and discussions, this year’s are: Monetization, Multimedia, Technology, Audience Building, Entrepreneur, and Social. To really get under the skin of these topics, there will be events of all varieties, ranging from demos of the latest products and services to workshops and panels. All will be followed by a Q&A.
Heben and Tracy, hosts of BuzzFeed’s podcast Another Round, are two of the main speakers at the upcoming Podcast Movement on July 6th-8th. Heben was a senior editor at BuzzFeed and now works on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and Tracy is a writer and humorist at BuzzFeed. Together on Another Round they cover everything from race, gender, and pop culture, to squirrels, mangos, and bad jokes, all in one boozy show.
So, as podcasters and as content writers, we think they can enlighten you with their opinions on how to build a successful podcast. Let’s start with the interview:
Daniel is one of the main speakers at the upcoming Podcast Movement on July 6th-8th. As well as an award-winning podcaster, he also helps others launch and improve their own podcasts so that they can share their passions and find success. He creates training resources (like SEO for Podcasters) and podcasting tools (like My Podcast Reviews), and offers one-on-one consulting and group training. Daniel is a keynote speaker on podcasting and social media and he hosts a network of award-nominated shows covering how to podcast, clean-comedy, and the #1 unofficial podcast for ABC’s hit drama Once Upon a Time. He also writes about technology, productivity, and entrepreneurship on his personal blog.
So, as a podcast trainer and as a speaker, we think it could be insightful to know something more about his opinion on the podcasting field. Let’s start with the interview:
This year the International Journalism Festival in Perugia (Italy) celebrates its tenth birthday and we’ll be there to help them blow out the candles. We’re pretty excited because we’ll also be part of two panels, one with CEO Francesco Baschieri on podcasting as a distinct medium, and another with one of our podcasters, Chiara Beretta Mazzotta (BookBlister Radio), who will be a panelist in a talk about the future of web radio.
Here’s all the info about the panels:
It’s time to make that dream come true! Radiotopia is looking to diversify its network with fresh talent through an exciting competition.
Taking place on March 13-15, the annual event will be bringing together over 1,300 radio professionals from 60 countries to discuss today’s best radio, as well as what’s in its future. The goal is to spread good ideas and make radio better for listeners.
