When we launched Spreaker’s plan for enterprise users in 2019 we had the goal of being the ultimate podtech solution for podcast publishers. Since its launch, we’ve helped podcasters and publishers like SKY, Global, Mondadori, Vanity Fair Italy, and Spain, HBO Latin America, connect with advertisers, scale their monetization, and efficiently manage podcast content. Podcasting is no longer a budding media experiment. It is a mainstream medium that plays an essential role in the advertising and marketing strategies of thousands of podcast publishers, who are facing the challenge of managing massive amounts of audio content while simultaneously trying to monetize their entire catalog.
We’re excited to share that Spreaker is the hosting and distribution vendor within the podcast space at six Staples Connect retail stores in the Boston area! Earlier this month, Staples US Retail announced the opening of Staples Connect, a reinvented store with coworking, podcasting and community event spaces where professionals, teachers and students alike can connect and grow. The first six Staples Connects have opened in the home state – Massachusetts – of Staples US Retail in Cambridge, Somerville, Needham, Boston, Brighton and Danvers.
New Spreaker Enterprise featureSince last January’s launch of Spreaker Enterprise – the ultimate podtech solution that connects publishers and advertisers (plus a lot more!) – we’ve been busy simplifying the management and monetization of audio departments for companies like Vanity Fair (Italy and Spain), HBO (Latin America) and Red Bull… just to name a few! While we develop customized (yet very scalable) technology for each Spreaker Enterprise client, we’re always working to provide an even more robust set of baseline features. That’s exactly why we’re thrilled to introduce our new private podcast RSS feed feature!
We’re pleased to announce that it’s now possible to schedule podcast episodes straight from Spreaker Studio for mobile – a feature that was previously available via Spreaker Studio for Desktop. All it takes is a few taps to schedule your podcast while out and about!
We’ve made a simple change that’s going to have a big impact on how listeners find you: we’ve updated our categories. Why is this so important? The latest version of Spreaker’s categories are now the same as Apple Podcasts’ categories – making for quicker, better, categorization for you!
We’re thrilled to announce that Popcorn Psychology has officially joined Bloom, our podcast content development program. We launched the program back in August as a way to assist talented independent podcasters who could benefit from the production support of a larger team (like Spreaker!).
Popcorn Psychology is a podcast hosted by three licensed therapists – Ben Stover, M.A., L.C.P.C., Hannah Espinoza, M.A., L.C.P.C., and Brittney Brownfield, M.S., L.C.P.C. – who spend each episode breaking down and analyzing popular movies and characters from the perspectives of a child, individual, and marriage and family therapist. With the goal of decreasing the stigma of mental health and therapy, the podcast launched in April 2018 as a result of the hosts being shocked by the public’s reaction to “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”
We’re so thrilled to announce the initial success of Spreaker Prime, our new white-glove service for talented independent podcasters and networks. In the first three months of the revenue-sharing program, our Spreaker Prime podcasters generated $1 million dollars via programmatic advertising, with sixty-percent of the profits going directly to the podcasters!
We’re excited to announce that we’ve added another distribution outlet to our one-click / tap distribution function: Podcast Addict.
Podcast Addict is the most popular and downloaded podcast listening app on the Google Play Store, according to the platform they have had over 9 million downloads and are home to 750 thousand podcasts. The platform’s importance is sure to make it a fundamental distribution point for all podcasters as Android’s share of the market continues to grow.
January 9, 2020 Blog Post Update: We’re thrilled to announce that our statistics are now officially certified by IAB Technology Lab (IAB), which can be found here: http://j.mp/compliant-companies. Wondering what this means as a podcaster on Spreaker? Read the full details below.
We previously shared that IAB Technology Lab (IAB) – a nonprofit consortium that develops standards within the digital media world – released podcast measurement guidelines to help streamline policies for providers like us and podcasters like you. To ensure our software and products meet industry guidelines, Spreaker is working to be IAB certified!
Creating a podcast should be straightforward – and we’ve designed Spreaker Studio specifically with this in mind. A combination of simplicity and powerful tools, we’re constantly working to add new features for users to refine their podcast in an easy-to-use manner. Now the possibility of creating professional level audio has become even easier with our newly launched mic controls on Spreaker Studio for iOS and Android devices.
