We at Spreaker are on a constant mission to better the stats we offer – giving users the tools to maximize their podcasting success. Increasing the insight we offer via statistics and analytics is one of our main goals, and in particular, we love doing it via a combination of your feedback and industry innovations. Inspired recently by what Dan Misener, Head of Audience Development at Pacific Content, wrote here, we’ve been working to create our ‘Listening Evolution’ stats, which we’re pleased to announce are now available in your podcast’s statistics page.
As a Spreaker user we imagine that you’re already familiar with the Studio and what languages it speaks – but let us give you a quick run-through anyway.
Spreaker Studio is a digital podcast platform, which allows users to record, live stream, and manage all aspects of their podcasts from one handy platform. It’s the simple way for podcasters of any level to get broadcasting from their own home without the need for lots of equipment.
The Studio can be used on iOS and Android and up until now, has been available in English, Spanish and Italian, but, as of today, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of Spreaker Studio in Brazilian Portuguese.
With iOS 12, Siri became more than just a voice assistant, it became your virtual mind reader, with the ability to recommend you things you should, or usually do, at particular times.
Siri now has the power to automatically identify your common tasks, location or calendar events and will tell you whether you should be somewhere or doing something.
Also, it suggests specific apps for specific situations, via its visual interface when you access Spotlight search or with the lock screen – meaning that you can repeat actions quickly and easily.
But of course, the changes don’t stop here!
As probably every podcaster already knows, at the end of May, Apple communicated that they will soon require secure podcast feeds as part of publishing podcasts with them.
Personalised podcasting is what we’re about and we’re always looking for new ways to give you podcast fans the most intuitive user experience possible. That’s why we’re pleased to say that one of the most requested features has finally arrived; the ability to see which episodes you’ve already listened to and how many minutes you have left on specific episodes.
For all you podcast bingers out there, this will be the answer to your podcasting prayers! Our interface updates make it clear to see exactly where you were in a podcast series and means you have one less thing to remember, this way you’ll always be on track with your listening schedule.
From May 25, 2018, it is necessary for you to review and accept our updated Terms of Service and Privacy Policy – a legal requirement to continue accessing and using Spreaker’s products and services. Over the course of the last few months, we have been working behind the scenes to improve and make Spreaker’s content management system compliant with the new GDPR policies (General Data Protection Regulation).
Let’s set the scene: you’re home, you’re sitting back and relaxing, and you’re pretty set on never getting up off the couch again. Putting on a great podcast would be the cherry on the cake.
Now you can fill your home with the sounds of your favorite podcast thanks to our new Spreaker Podcast Radio Chromecast/AirPlay compatibility! Using your smartphone or tablet as a remote control, you’ll be able to play all the true crimes, dramas, and news podcasts you love without having to do more than lifting a finger.
You’ve got it all under control – introducing Spreaker’s new Content Management System!
The Content Management System, or CMS, is a powerful new tool that makes general podcast and content management a cinch, so that you can make quick changes as needed. We’ve taken care of the tech so that podcasters can stick to what they do best: podcasting.
You’ll find it all there – the CMS is a full view of your operation and output at a glance. It’s chockfull of new features that allow you to do loads of things, like customize your embedded player, manage multiple episodes at once, adjust cover image sizes, and much more.
