In early May we released our trim and crop feature for Spreaker Studio, giving iOS and Android users the opportunity to edit their podcast recordings while on the move. In our continuing quest to improve Spreaker and the podcast editing software we offer – we have now updated our podcast editing tools to allow trimming and cropping of saved drafts and imported files. Granting maximum podcasting flexibility for our users.
You might think that this isn’t a very big change, but let’s think about a few situations where this update will be particularly handy.
Your New Podcast Editing Process!
First off, say you’re out recording but don’t have time to edit and polish up your podcast ready for publishing. Absolutely no problem. All you need to do is save your draft and come back to it when you do have the time. This will give your podcast a live feel, with a polished edge.
Or, imagine you’ve recorded some audio somewhere else that you want to include in your next podcast – now you can import these files, trim and crop to your heart’s desire – and then publish when you’re ready. And, if for example, you make your own music, you could even import something you’ve recorded, edit it and add it as your backing track to your new episode. The possibilities are endless.
To create your fine-tuned audio clips, open the drafts section in the App, you can either select an old draft you already have saved or import something you’ve recorded somewhere else. We’ve added an ‘import’ button on to the Spreaker Studio drafts section so you can directly upload files you’ve got saved on your phone – once your file is imported you can crop and trim it as you would any other file you’ve recorded directly on Spreaker Studio.

To begin cropping and trimming your audio files, make sure you’ve updated or downloaded the app from the store to enjoy these new features.
We loved receiving your feedback on the crop and trim tool, let us know what you want, so we can work to make these changes for you – podcasting should be as simple and stress-free as possible.
