The GEN Summit 2015 is about to start in Barcelona, and we’re more than happy to be a part of a great session on Podcasting, together with the major experts of the industry including Serial’s Producer, Dana Chivvis.
The Global Editors Network (GEN) is a cross-platform community of editors-in-chief and media innovators committed to sustainable, high-quality journalism, empowering newsrooms through a variety of programs designed to inspire, connect, and share. The goal is to define a vision for the future of journalism and enhance its quality through innovation and cooperation.
This year, the three-day event will bring together the brightest minds in the industry to discuss and challenge the future of media, through sessions and masterclasses that will start from Wednesday, June 17th to Friday, June 19th. The agenda is full of inspiring panels and speakers, and among them are: Samantha Barry (Head of Social Media and Senior Director of Strategy, CNN), Mark Little (Founder & Director of Innovation, Storyful), Haile Owusu, (Chief Data Scientist, Mashable), and Dana Chivvis (Producer, “Serial”) who will be taking the stage with Siobhán McHugh and our CEO Francesco Baschieri on the session:”Podcasting: The Next Generation of Audio StoryTelling” which takes place on Friday 19th at 3:35 CET.
Moderated by Mark Roc (CEO and Founder of The Adio Corporation), the speakers will discuss the future of podcasting, the medium’s radical change from a niche to a mainstream market, how it’s piquing publishers’ interests, and the monetary value of audio content.
