What’s going on with our iOS apps

In the past few weeks we’ve been pushing out some new releases to our iOS Apps; some of you have reached out because they couldn’t find the statistics screen on the Spreaker Podcast Radio app anymore.

As of now, listener analytics are only displayed on Spreaker Studio and this means that if you are a content producer you should have already downloaded the Spreaker Studio App for iOS in order to access your stats. In a few months (we can’t reveal the date just yet) we’ll be launching a complete renewal of Spreaker Podcast Radio App for iOS which will give users a much better podcast listening experience, like we already did on Android.

Access Your Stats on iOS from the Spreaker Studio App

Yesterday we released a new update for Spreaker Podcast Radio for iOS that caused issues for a few users due to the fact that from now on, stats will only be displayed on Spreaker Studio.

What does this mean?

Actually, nothing has changed apart from the new path you’ll need to take in order to get to your data. You’ll still get complete access to all of your stats, of course, but now you’ll just have to open Spreaker Studio on your iOS device to get to it, instead of Spreaker Podcast Radio.

Something’s a brewin’ in Berlin! Yes, that’s right, we’re pulling things together for a podcasters meetup, right in Spreaker’s hometown. Keep your eyes peeled this week for information on when and where to go.

In tech and development, we’ve got improvements heading your way, back to back:

SONOS is a wireless home speaker system that allows you to play your favorite audio in your kitchen, bedroom, bathroom – the choice is yours, and soon you’ll be able to integrate it with Spreaker. Stay tuned!

We’re working on improving Tube, our Pro feature that connects Spreaker with any external mixer of your choice. We’ll be smoothing things out for easier and more stable integration.

Revising Spreaker’s iPad App

Making sure that our platform provides you the quality broadcasting tools you need is our top priority, and so we always keep our ears open to what you have to say. It’s the reason behind our re-launching of a better iPad app.

Why the update? Well, we wanted to change what wasn’t working for you, and added features that will.

Here’s what you’ll find in our new iPad app:

Auto-ducking

Auto-ducking keeps your audio file volume down as you simultaneously talk on the mic. Music will automatically lower as you speak so that listeners can hear you clearly as you make your snappy commentary.

Push-to-Talk button.

The Push-to-Talk button activates your microphone on for only as long as you hold down the button.  It’s great for when you just want to add a few word here or there in your broadcast.

New recording and publishing streams now integrated with location and autoshare.

The new recording and publishing streams make adding your location to your episodes easier, and simplify manually auto-sharing your content.

Added login via Twitter

Choose to connect to your Spreaker account via Twitter, and enjoy easy sharing between the two platforms.

Try it out, go nuts, and of course, let us know what you think!
